Moonlight Path

Tonight, the wind whistles
as it rushes through the atmosphere.
Winter’s bare limbs
of swaying trees,
dance in the shadows.

Soon, snow falls lightly
on the ground
with it’s pure,
white coat.

The moon comes out
from behind the clouds
with it’s white light
and the path that I must follow,
opens up before me.

A path of inner silence
and beauty,
bare of conflict,
full of peace.

Winter is not my favorite season but does give moments of deep reflection and insight at times!
