The Arrival of Spring in Woldgate, East Yorkshire in 2011, by David Hockney
Barb Clarke

Nature’s Path

As I walk along nature’s path
The clouds appear luminous and near
As if to hug and protect
All earthly inhabitants.
Turtles sunbathe on a floating log
While geese tend to their young
And frogs croak their special song.
As trees and flowers sway
A cool breeze blows
Rainbow colors flow and delight.
As I walk upon nature’s path today
I bow to the beauty of this earth
In the glorious month of May.
