Cool breeze rustles through the trees,
drifting into my open door
and leads me to the window to see
leaves falling with abandon.

Highlights of red and gold lace
the trails and set the pace
of nature’s salute to Autumn.

Too soon winter’s freeze,
will dip icy hands,
on the land,
and branches will sway
with the weight of snow.

Autumn is here and gone too fast!

I love to look at the trees in autumn, but don't like the cold air in winter. I can't until next spring.

I guess the trick is to enjoy it while it is here and not miss a moment of Autumn's beauty. Not so easy to do!

Nice poem. Autumn is a sad time for me. I keep thinking of all the greenery submitting itself to the grips of winter,
