Multi-tasking is overrated!
In the noble purpose of my life, In the clear and quiet chamber Of my soul, In the open and warm cave Of my heart,
Driving through the small towns of America, children of all colors playing in the streets, some with tattered clothes
As I enter my sixty-third year, Fall leaves grace the path I love, With hues of red, Gold and orange.
The white snow lay gently on the ground in a swirl pattern. The sky, a slab of smooth grey stone.
Squirrels with bushy orange tails leap about the deck. Crickets hum, confused that it’s not dark yet. The caw of a blue jay
Time passing by now In a blink of the eye, In the clap of a hand, In the chirp of a bird, In a flash of light
Oh hummingbird Where are you now? Have you taken My courage with you? Oh hummingbird
The flesh withers as we age But our inner spirit Remains the same. And when the body dies The spirit breaks free
The many places I have been And countless faces I have seen, The many tales to be told, Into the universe, they unfold. It’s all a passing show,
Tonight, the wind whistles as it rushes through the atmospher… Winter’s bare limbs of swaying trees, dance in the shadows.
Geese are honking As they fly Across an orange colored Sky. My spirit soars
Summer is near it’s end, I regret not visiting my childhood home, near the gulf, where the sunset
Grateful for: Sunrise of pink and gold Showing the way, Lighting the sky, To another blessed day.
