RESILIENCE

The hummingbirds are buzzing
As well as the bees.
The Orioles land gingerly
On top of the feeder.
Cautiously they move down
To the jelly,
The feast for the day.
Their orange plumage
Reminds me
Of life’s resilience
Which carries on
With or without me.
One season follows another
As the world keeps turning
In the silence
Of a vast universe.
How small we are,
Yet, big at the same time.
I bow to the beauty of life
And a chance...
To make a small difference.
