Harsh reality smacks
like a slap
of cold wind.

Sometimes I’m a tough
sailor, at the helm,
navigating the rough
sea.

Other times, I go within
and sit with this
bleeding heart.

I listen to it’s beat.
It’s then my spirit
speaks...
on how to play
my part.

Thinking about hard times and ways to deal with it.
