To my beloved son.

Her chest at rest, at peace with motion
Her breath the toll —an earthly token
Blissful ambiance, the curtains erect
Mid-labor came quick —my nerves shipwreck’d.

Amid the lucent heavens —b’low
Gallantly gleaming —her womb aglow
A crowning jewel —atop his throne
Arriving from a realm unknown

His kingly bawl —herald’d his arrival
A triumphant bellow —enthron’d his survival
His rank amidst the mortality of man
My son —For which I am his biggest fan.
