O nameless, childhood friend!
You’re dead!
Your carcass cracked with missing teeth.
Your mouth dry, green and black.
When you were full of life,
I enjoyed you so;
The sunlight would dance upon your lucid face
While I embraced you with all my limbs.
You were made for me
An yet I neglected you.
When you needed me,
I didn’ t lift a hand to help you.
I poisoned you with my ignorance and now you’re dead!
However, a grave for your corpse
I will not make.
Not even its stench
Will the shovel shake.
One day I hope you’ll be filled with life again
And till then
You’ll still my friend remain.
