Why I like to write
Starting over
I like to write because I can express myself in ways that I can’t do while talking
I like to write because instead of stomping I let my words do the walking
I like to write because when I talk about my dreams my words guide the meaning
I like to write because you understand me better even though my heart is bleeding
I like to write because when I write my words flow like a breeze through the trees and dance like when the wind blows the leaves
Like autumn days and nights when the wind blows hard
With the colorful leaves piled up in the yard
Robes and slippers with blue berry and apple pies with a dash of cinnamon and honey in tea
Candles lit music playing softly
That’s what my words feel like to me
I write so that my words can be a melody
Some where to drift and dream
Imagine and believe
Some where to call home and cozy
Some where to be me
