Good Morning

Good Morning

In the silent core,
Beyond the woods,
Through the city,
Ascending mortal realm
Echoing through narrow confines
An omniprescent effigy, flesh made real.
A patchwork of shadows,
Evoking the dead frost of night
Gears of mechanical menace dance through the thin threads
That weave the tapestry of dark originating woe
A rhythmic beat of the unknown,
Sinking the livelihood of an upbeat rhyme of warmth.

A torrent of conflicting forces gather for constant war
The ritual war borne of a mutual grudge between two families,
Which nought can remove,
Nor affect the outcome of,
Because there can only be one victor
Which has transpired into a firm reenaction of day by night struggles
Radiance blinds, but blinds cover,
And with such mannerisms does radiance reoccur.
Radiance blossoms
Despite the onslaught of darkness that licks at bloom
Desperate, the darkness throws itself one final time
But is vanquished by the rising flower, the sun,
Dissipating into a shower of separated shadows–
Daylight reigns supreme.
