Wills of the Wind
I am a kite
At the mercy of the wind
I don’t put up a strong enough fight
A subject of whatever is in trend
The wind is my emotions
I’m a prisoner to the notions of them
Never knowing what’ll come next
Will today be one of the best?
Will I be gliding high in the pretty blue sky amongst the birds and the clouds?
Or will I be harshly tossed from side to side and on my way crashing down?
It can change in the blink of an eye
From being on top of the world then wanting to cry.
One day I’ll become an air bender,
And I’ll no longer be made prisoner to the wills of the wind.
