The next step, viewing from the other side, published

The day arrived the moment I knew,
The package was delivered excitement grew!
Years to create assemble and write,
The final products were in my sights.

A knock at the door the postman smiled,
Here is your delivery, struggling awhile,
The brown box inside, the book awaits.
Finding the scissors, hesitation debates.

Slowly the scissors guide along the seem,
Cutting ever so slowing, years it’s been.
A slit at the end, one flap is done,
One by one three seams, the final one.

Flap now opened the fragrance arrived,
The fresh printed books aroma inside.
Forty years writing the dream realized,
Countless hours deliberating the final prize.

The view from here, a moment a thought,
The emotions stirred feelings stopped.,
Many years to create the story now lies,
In theses pages reading soon realized.

A part of my life, all aspects seen,
Emotions of writing one final dream.
Staring at the cover, looking deep within,
Vision now realized nurturing begins.

Opening the cover looking at the name,
Reading the dedication thoughts remain.
One who inspired my ability to write,
Cannot enjoy this part of my life?

Stories of others I have encountered in life,
Knowing they played a small part ignites.
One whom I hold dear in my heart,
In the beginning we were never apart.

Back of the book the cover reveals,
Newfoundland once visited history concealed.
Another Time & Place this book reveals,
Writer Silverghost the penname he’s real.

The book of poetry a memoir in verse,
Enjoy reading hidden gems in words.
Within these chapters the author reveals,
Friends and family, these feelings are real.

My coach, a mentor and loving wife,
Since we met and every day of my life.
Encouraging this adventure teaching dawned,
A financial wizard whose wisdom spawned.

My first book of poetry it may be my last,
Writing each day inspiring and laughs.
Humbled to the core published by name,
Never forgetting the ongoing support remains.

Forty-two years writing, finally published
