Tug-A-War

I’m tired of being hurt,

It’s like a constant battle,

No matter where I turn,

I’m betrayed or left behind,

My heart can’t take much more of this,

And often I wish my ol’ heart would just give out,

I just can’t handle all this constant pain,

My heart is at war between pain and relief,

It’s like a tug a war,

This is just more than I can take,

I want to end it all,

It’d be easier,

But I can’t because I have a love in me that’s so strong

it over powers any pain,

Even though I’m betrayed and hurt,

I can’t help but to love him,

He is my everything,

My heart is just so fragile,

And I can’t take much more.
