Where am I today?
And who are we tomorrow?
Lift my spirit to ether spheres
dont wanna drown here in sorrow
Past, present and future plans
are made to burst and break
I hold my life in hazy hands
Im confused, I smoke and shake
I wish you would forever haunt me
like you said you would
and give me back some of the love
Oh Id sacrifice myself if I could!
I wanna live so intensely forever,
on the fast lane, maximum speed.
Cause “now” means always now or never
wait, I must have lost my feet!
But someday in the river Ganges, I will wash away
all my decadent sins from yesterday.
To poets like you its my heart that I sold
but I cannot keep pace
and what you touch, it turns to gold
oh how I beg for an embrace!
But you speak the truth and I tremble
I lack the sun, the quickened pulse
we do not much resemble
Oh with my apparition, darkness falls
Your magic spells will curse me
Im your maidservant and a fiend
And your words, they catapult me
into the den of the lion
Where I swathe myself in thickest fume
cause youre so high above me
how could I just assume
that you could ever love me?
Someday in the river Ganges Ill wash away
