a bit of "leaving las vegas"
a bit of the titanics history
about people only accepting the love... that they think they deserve

like harland
and
wolff
i breathed
in
the sweetest
air
i held
it
in my
lungs
and
heard
it
like a
prayer
the day
i
first
beheld
you
little miss titanic

white
as the
starline
traced
across
liverpool
southampton
and
new york city
your maiden
voyage
prepared
women
and
children
gone
only
the men
were
left
as you
displayed
your
artifacts
at the
luxor
in
las vegas
little miss titanic

your coldness
burning
my
being
as the band
played
on
empire
style
dirty
and
dangerous
olympic
class
ocean
liner
first
class
smoke
room
signed
and
routed
at the floating
hotel
you gave me
a night
to remember
little miss titanic

cork harbor
8 hours
later
up the grand
staircase
to the turkish
bath
power
boilers installed
propulsion
speed capacity
steam
engines reciprocating
carpathia rescued
collecting
1 last
passenger
as you
sink
to the
floor
laid
down
launched
and
completed
little miss titanic

i the
nameless builder
port of
registry
ordered
tank top
owner
placed into
service
identification
displacement
length
beam
height
and
depth
putting
an end
to the
drought
on the
decks
international
class
and
ice patrol
type
commencing
to split
it
hit
it
and
wreck
little miss titanic

searching
the vast
white
plain
studded
with bergs
memorized
tasted
moaned
and
screamed
for
the lack
of
escaping
rapid
breathing
drowning
hypothermia
cardiac
arrest
noaa
explaining
the tragedy
of
little miss titanic

panic
cold
incapacitation
by the stern
passed
the radio
act
compelling
the tongues
agony
ecstacys
evidence
the spot
where
came
to rest
human
lips
remain
burried
in the
sediment
our very
dreams
beneath
us
ultrasounds
surveying
the wreck
of our
encounter
till all
that remained
was the
bow
of
little miss titanic

a bit of "leaving las vegas"
