Sylvie wake up

Snapping like a rubber band
Broken frayed and not giving a damn
Wondering why the weigh is so heavy
When all but myself have left me
I’m so sick of the idealism that comes with a relationship
When it’s just you and you alone on the sinking ship
Wishing you weren’t in your home
But face down in a lake
So peaceful
With no one angry
No pets screaming
No one pretending your beaten
Half ready to Sylvia Plath myself
Maybe that why the kitchen door doesn’t shut right
It’s too tight
With the plastic stickers that still seal it
The ovens already on
