Misty-Glenn

Well, have you seen this Irish Steed,
The finest stud in all of Kerry?
Who furrows field and doesn’t yield
And never seems to want to tarry.

A Clydesdale legend, so he’s called,
White like fog & black like night
Born in the shadow of Castel Rock
At the witching hour of a phantom’s flight.

Have you seen the horse, “Misty-Glenn”?
The one who dances with ghost and fairy,
Who the Little people call by name
In the fields of Tipperary.

He was the first, but not the last,
His offspring reign with every birth.
He is the pride of the Emerald Isle
And a lasting symbol throughout the Earth.
