I'm So Glad We Had This Time Together

Over and over, thank you;                                                                                                                                                                                                      circling, the sun on my face                                                                                                                                                                                                     so, as happens every day often, and
sometimes life squeezes out the best of

me; light, so let me say I’m so glad we had
this time together; I guess I imagined my
world without you
ever, don’t forget me

dull, forget my troubles                                                                                                                                        safe, my troubles but a glint
all, you my dear; and
sometimes life squeezes out the best of me

‘til I find what I can find
stunned, my world
looked
to land gently

with distant stars that shine on faces
in the deep, deep field
and last
I bet none

solemn, when I die burn my ashes
careful to toss me in the whitewater
swim, so I can flow downstream
heart, ‘til I find

you,
the sun on my face
frenzy! don’t let me drift away,
there’s more I have to say, to you

together,
fearless if my troubles find the stagnant
pool slight, there’s no hope
best, so let me flow to

where once I fell in and thought
steadied and
out of the water, and sometimes life
squeezes out the best of me

but me with you, the sun on my face,
I’m so glad we had this time together;
sometimes loose, loose and free, and
always my heart sees you, beautiful

up, up and
harbored, and even though I drift
out of the harbor,
always my heart sees you, beautiful.
