I Surrender

Shades pulled down to block out the light. The dark side of my life surrenders.
Surrenders to the dismal abyss of hell.
Hell on earth inside my soul, the battle destroys the beautiful mosaic of mind.
                                         Leaves the shards scattered–
the walls crumpled, bodies rotting to dust. The smell of burnt and decayed
ruins leave me choked and breathless.
I gasp . Gasp for air– to cling to what’s left of my tattered world marred by hate .
Hatred for myself - loathing this monstosity
Scarred and broken. The pungent odor of the foul wickedness exuding from inside
clogs my lungs, grabs my heart in its talons.
I can be no more, there is no more fight left inside.
                                         I give in– I give up .
