"She's Alone"

This is for the girl on the corner, who thought she was a loner cause nobody seem to want her. Misused and confuse she succumbed to way society perceives her. She’s so young, only at 22 her skin is cracked as a reflection from this enormous pressure, she knows all too well what this world can do. I doubt she has heard this before, so allow me to be the first to open the door and say she’s  beautiful. But other people wouldn’t be able tell cause always she look so pale. I guess thats the result of the inhale and exhale combination from those pack of smokes.
Her life is too short for these newports. She told me she’s looking for a stress reliever. Well baby girl if that’s the case I know this woman by the name of Mary Jane and she just so happens to be a natural healer. Her medication will make you into a believer. If nothing else you be can yourself. She turned, looked me in the eye and to my surprise she told me to show her no empathy cause she hasn’t explored this world enough to understand what it means to truly be herself.
And that made me wonder. Shes out roaming through the streets day and night. Struggling to survive with no place to hide from the looks and stares that pass her by. Tears rolling down her eyes from the thoughts of should she die. I was never able to greet her with a formal hi but during these hostile times I think this might be her final goodbye.
