Whats my purpose in life?
I really don’t know.
Do i make smiles come.
Or do i make them go.
Trying doesn’t seem to be enough.
And yet the road gets rough.
Does anyone ever get tired.
Of faking to be tough.
Am i a good friend?
Do i make you want me sing?
Or am i just another metal knot.
On your playgrounds swing?
Well ill never know.
Will you?
Yeah the lies make you smile.
But when is there room for truth.
Stop treating me this way.
I told you ill always be around.
Yet you don’t care.
You just give me reasons to hang my head down.
Don’t say its okay.
If you know its not.
Don’t give me apology’s.
When you know i heard it a lot.
Don’t fake a smile.
Just to be my friend.
If you don’t wanna be more.
Just let it all end.
You always think its forever.
Til someone lets you down.
So listen up.
I’m giving you a warning now.
Look in the mirror and say.
Do i really deserve this.
Yeah I’m still standing.
But for what purpose?
