The Wind Has Places To Go

Sweet breeze

You were like a sweet cool breeze sweeping across my sweat drenched face in the scotching Sahara heat
The way it runs its fingers in your hair vaporizing your disquieting thoughts
Lingers on your sticky skin whispering promises of relief
Lifting your skirts wickedly with no shame
Leaving your body wanting, aching for more

Like a little girl twirling to her favorite song
I stretched out my arms to you
Welcomed you
I couldn’t remember yesterday
I didn’t care for tomorrow
I was content with your presence in the present
But the wind has places to go
