Say it Yesterday

No regrets

Echoes resounded yet I needed more space
Now I keep racking my brain
For the different things I could have said
An enigma of feelings
The residue of my lonesome ways
A cancer that metastasizes day by day
Poisoning me from the inside out
What needs to be said
Say it yesterday

I need surgery
I pray for a remedy
She’s not the enemy
I am my own adversary
That’s my only clarity
Is he the shadow that follows me
The truth that’s so hard to see
My agonizing regret fee
What solace would there be
For this unrequited love
Such a tragic love

A silence that screams nostalgia
Remorse for turning the other way
I regret blinding myself
But most of all
I regret being afraid
And not taking the risk anyway
Never allow the ghosts of your past
To wreak themselves on the light in your future
What needs to be said
Say it yesterday

I need surgery
I pray for a remedy
She’s not the enemy
I am my own adversary
That’s my only clarity
Is he the shadow that follows me
The truth that’s so hard to see
My agonizing regret fee
What solace would there be
For this unrequited love
Such a tragic love

What needs to be said
Say it yesterday
