Rain. Soiled our Wednesday plans, bidding us
seize seas inside instead, bidding us
bidderoos “never balk,”
and “always jamboree.”
Sourship arrives at our dock, dizzying fagellas:
pungent memory, a hazy poiton, our sicksea…
‘twas remberfog killed fox and trout.
And Ombuleo from Stilkt!
He came to us on his sepia-tone balloon.
Dizzy spekled grandfather Ombuleo!
Never again to twinkle.
Flounder. In stuccups for Saturday;
a delightful tesse of marionettes will visit–don’t you like that?
To play jinglecups with little brother Pocke-marke,
and vault our hearth merrily to the tune of Rimeaux.
We will ride painted horses on the promenade,
out to whisk a brew for Catman.
“Wouldn’t you like stew, too?”
Hare, goose, frog.
