My Heart

Faith, hope, love, pain, sorrow, life, trials, the valley, journey, struggle, light, fear

The sun cracks open the night,
With her rays of light,
Like a lightning bolt shot across the sky,
As my heart begins to cry.

The wind breathes softly through
The quietly darkened blue.
My heart rains her tears,
My soul floods with fears.

The stars shine bright
Between day and night.
My heart torn in two,
Crashed into you.

The atmosphere rips apart,
A storm begins to start.
My heart weary and lost,
Found a bridge of which it crossed.

The winds scream through,
And away the bridge blew.
My heart felt afraid
Of the trek it had made.

Breathing slowed down,
Letting a calmness surround.
The scars in the sky,
Fade away in the nigh.

My heart fights back,
It is under attack.
Try as I may,
There will be no sun today.

I wander through this space,
At a mind-numbing pace.
Slowly breathing in the aire,
Of what feels like despair.

An endless wake of pewter,
Heart laid empty from "the looter".
Rain whistles out from the clouds,
Washing away false shrouds.

She rises up from the ashes,
As her fear crashes,
Made now of fire and blood,
Her spirit came alive in the flood.~c.l.l./Fatima Amal (2016)
