Homecoming

Picture will you, the Summers,
Of gardens with roses outside,
Those left to nature start growing,
The flowers and children alike,

Picture will you, the children,
Running and playing outside,
Kids taught at home for their learning,
Good laughter and morals for life.

At home it’s sure good to be knowing,
In Summers, while winters are blowing,
That when kids run and shout,
The gardens will sprout,
And soon all new life will be growing!

Picture will you, the Winters,
Cold, and its snowing outside,
Seeds that are buried, lay resting,
And mother reads stories inside,

Picture will you, a mother,
Her children, the joy of her life,
While smiling, she teaches and nurtures,
The flowers and children alike.
