The Forgotten

The progression of one who’s least of us,
Stands and takes his aim.
Resembles of that the ones before,
Quite nice. Then states his claim.

Confusion spouts before a court,
All stand to make known their plans.
But, of they that came to support their land,
Would be turned, then run aground.

When it rains, it pours!
And so our civil liberties, torn.
But, of us that fight for ours so dear,
Can watch it reappear.

Now luck would find as for the law,
That is for those who knew:
The court would fight and pay their dues,
By those that bled for truth.

How be it though, from whence they came, would matter least to those,
Who through all times were bound by they,
That shattered dreams with woes!

(2007)

No matter what culture or time of history; peoples of any nation have always been a second-class ci ttizen to those who run, wheel, or involved, in power. When those who write the law become bigger then the law by lording over its subordinates without mercy and complying to it themselves- the human factor in the judiciary system is destroyed. The letter of the law becomes more prevalent through its continuous creation of laws and its uncanny ability to forget its true purpose of creatio n and existence.
