Whatsoever the Question

Truly my soul waiteth upon God:
from him cometh my salvation.
Psalm 62:1

Few things in life do matter
That gives us satisfaction
Usually the end of things
The pure joy of completion
And a simple evening meal
Provides us no exception
Dessert always the answer
Whatsoever the question
Likewise in our earthly stay
What matters our salvation
Heaven always the answer
Whatsoever the question

My wife and I had dinner last night, our first date night since the pandemic started. As we perused the dessert menu, I was inspired to write this poem. It seemed to me that the "end of things" always give us satisfaction and pleasure. And I know, heaven is always the answer to whatsoever questions we may have.
