Friends often stay silent...
Silence is definitely not good for those we care for.
Silence diminishes care.
Silence dilutes concern.
Friends grow better with distance.
Detachment and silence are definitely not good when you care.
Detachment turns care into emptiness.
Emptiness turns care into disinterest.
Friends need distance!
Distance helps us reconsider affections, feelings,
and reasons to care...
Space pushes us to miss.
Space, but not distance, turns care into need...
I miss my friends.
I miss our free– time talking...
I miss sightseeing together.
And I miss day dreaming together.
I miss their bluntness and honesty.
I miss their fraternal love.
As for me... I miss our boldness and utopia.
I miss their way of giving love.
This poem was published on my second book. It is dedicated to my dear friend Alfredo, who passed away early on 2013.
