You have comforted me
When I had lost all hope
Your words of wisdom
Give me the strength to cope
Mo chara you don’t realise
How much you mean to me
I would be drowning in despair
If you had not helped me see
That life is a precious thing
everyday is a gift from God
Yet people don’t appreciate it
Mo chara I find this odd
World heroes and martyrs
Give their lives for a cause
Sacrificing all they have

These are our people
Who went that extra mile
For liberty and freedom
