Until Next Time, Until We Meet Again
Sitting here just day dreaming about the past,
The things you did, The things I said,
Feelings we used to have,
It’s been a while, We both grew up,
Ended up moving on,
Or so we thought, Cus in our hearts,
Feelings were never gone,
My first love,
First heartbreak,
And everything in between,
Hard to believe it all started when we were only fifteen,
“Puppy Love,” or at least that’s what it was called then,
I still remember the day you asked me to be your girlfriend,
I fell quick, and I honestly thought that we would last forever,
Things changed, And I accepted we’d never again be together,
Bridges burned, lessons learned, so where to go from here?
Can’t seem to see the whole picture that once was so clear,
Cus now you’re back, at least for now,
And you’ve got me doubting everything,
Like what I want, who I’m with, and if I’m settling,
I can’t believe it’s been ten years and you still give me butterflies,
You say my name, and just like that,
Again I’m hypnotized,
Is it real? Should we act on it, or just let it go?
So much to lose, much more to gain, which one matters most?
Do we face the ugly truth, that we’ve only been pretending to be happy?
Or continue to live beautiful lies, smiling, but sadly?
So many questions, too many thoughts, who’s gonna answer them?
