Matchsticks and Explosions
This moment could last forever, never fade and forever be etched on our lips and heart
The day our two worlds collided;
It was like dancing fireworks dancing on my lips
A tingling rushing up my spine, a crashing of emotions
It felt right and made me Happy.
Its’ been a while since something like this happened to me.
Something so old that tasted so new!
I couldn’t stop myself, couldn’t take the time to think.
I was on autopilot, my mind could move, it got caught up in the moment
I couldn’t stop it within its tracks; it wouldn’t have mattered anyway
The voice inside couldn’t agree with the torrent of emotion
The resistance was there but my defenses were crumbling fast
Sharpened pitchforks and brightly lit bonfires.
Yeah it’s all a stupid game, trying to get my head outta the game.
Chanting and jeering.
But the words meant nothing to me; I guess I was strong like that.
The war was over, my heart finally won. Love conquers all I guess.
But it came with a price.
It felt like I have been doused with gasoline and was shoved into the thundering rainy sky.
Then got dragged through the muddy pastel waters of bizarreness;
Into a palace of bright burning light; it blinds me
Now I am looking through a blurry vision and jaded eyes.
Kaleidoscopes of erotic vivid anomalies painted inside my head.
You opened up my eyes to a whole new world.
You’ve etched lasting memories onto these sporadic brainwaves.
It’s like a minefield out here; each step triggering a torrent of ecstasy pulses.
Like diamonds scattered across the ocean waters, you radiate the essence of devotion
I feel safe with you; I don’t want to ever let you go.
I know you the one.
You’re a burning light radiating comfort;
my place I call home.
You are my salvation.
You are forever mine.
You are mine.
