Ran across the plateau at a consistent speed
I never dared to look back, it was Do or Die
I couldn’t face the latter it was just too early
My life had only just begun.
My pages still reeked of fresh pressed words
The ink still stained and clung to each page,
Each jotted note emanating a deep sense of meaning,
It brought some sunshine to my life
It was as clear as a prismatic ray;
It was a mesmerizing sight to behold
There was no reason not to trust you
I’d take a moment to breath it all in
But the doubt kept shouting inside my head
I couldn’t take that step, had all the energy
But my feet just didn’t want to move.
But when I looked at you, your eyes told me everything will be alright
At that moment, I let go of fear.
I put all my trust in your heart and gripped your hand.
The feeling of you so close to me,
Makes every moment last; forever
Time stood still and the colors seemed brighter
The air smelled sweeter
I was in harmony with you
Eternity felt like forever today
Tis a sweet life worth spending, every split second with you.
