My mind the monster

What is it like to fear your mind?
To stand alone as one of a kind,
No chains, no cell but never free,
From the voice that is inside of me.

His voice is louder than a crowd,
But only I can hear him clear and load,
So angry with a taunting glee,
Is the monster deep inside of me.

He keeps me up, he steals my sleep,
No emotion does he lets me keep,
I wonder if il ever be,
Free from what’s inside of me.

In no cupboard, chest or draw,
He’s not one you go looking for,
My monsters not under the bed you see,
He resides deep down inside of me!
