Step-father

To watch him hold a child of mine,
The moment seems to stand in time,
As I watch him give such love and care,
Even though no blood they share.

To watch him learning as he goes,
With everything a baby throws,
And never does he moan or groan,
About the child whose not his own.

To watch him offer out his hand,
and teach him how to understand,
He seemed to glow as he smiled,
And learned to love another’s child.

To watch him  love in such a way,
That no words can truly say,
How it feels my heart with glee,
To have this man beside of me!
