Poems Are Us

Poems are us;
and so,
as they in Paraguay say
while they move this
and that way,

all of life is written
word by word
in the Book of Life
and it is understood
that everyone is smitten

by the bitten spirit of the day.
In rhyme and fashion they beat
and meet in groups of two,
up and down the streets
to gossip gaily over treats.

With hands on hips and jars
on heads balanced carefully
in their stead’s place,
as they limbo in pace to race
down the aisle as they wed.

Author Notes

Just a simple ramble, a flitty Ditty that sounds good and that might give a flavor to the poems that are bursting in us as we meet and gossip over the daily affairs of the spirit of the world while we continue in our traditional ways from time in memoriam. I completed the poem. August 29, 2013
