In memory of Mary Louise Goshorn Groat

To our sweetest angel who always tended to our needs. You may never know the grand effect of all that you’ve sown.
If only we knew sooner of times cruel deeds, we’d had praised you much more from the depths of our souls.

But here we are now, grieving your absence, knowing exactly the loss. You never asked for a thing, except a kind word or hug conveying the love, YOU most deserving...... our angel....we’ve lost.

God speed sweet angel. Know that these words are not the last. Your life will be honored until OUR time here does elapse.
Your gentle and unassuming nature was all that we could ever need. To know your heart is cause to be thankful, indeed.

Farewell Mother, my sweetest angel. Thank you for my life and all that has gone unspoken.
You will live on in spirit, deep within my soul... yet with heavy heart, forever broken.

(2011)

Written the day of my mothers funeral. Not the easiest thing I've ever written.
