The road

I pass by.....as so many times before. That road you’re on holds nothing it once had. The compulsion to drive by, now my pedals to the floor. You don’t answer me, wishing I were mad.

The road your on makes me weak. Now I’ve lost love, a love that no longer breathes. My mind turns away as my heart yearns to seek. You’re nowhere, nothing in me believes.

That road you’re on is yours alone. Move along and make yourself strong. I was here before I even knew you existed and play out what I’ve sown. The road you’re on is your perception, destroying hearts as you search your own.

That road you’re on, my life,  my love lived there. That road that I won’t allow myself to see.
That road you walk alone, it was too much to bear. You were worth everything to me, when I was allowed to be on.....on the road you’re on.
