Dark teardrops

It was late at night I heard the splash, of your tears upon the ground
Your loneliness battles silently hidden beneath the sound
The pain is seeping out of you diluting in the air
Your questions swimming aimlessly the answers never there
Yet distantly I hear these tears and know they’ll soon run dry
And the ever resounding questions of understanding why
The strength, the will, the smile, the want to carry on
Are now with memories so sad and lost darkened and all gone
But whilst I hear your tear drops splash i know you still have fight
So close behind the door in darkness and contemplate the light.
