The Drifting Echo of the Sleep-Deprived

Among other things in the sound of night:
The drifting echo of the sleep-deprived.
Through men of order sign of strife,
Among other things in the sound of night.

A tapestry wall of a woman un-tongued,
Lurching into the rife, the wife, to devour child
Sliced w’knife and fed to the man, son’s life,
Among other things in the sound of night.

Old men rage and spit profanities in spite
And maidens cry out wails of blinding light,
They will blind your ears and steal your sight,
Among other things in the sound of night.

Alas, yon coffer razed, crackle, remorse the life inside,
Among other things in the sound of night.
