Fight For Love

The drummer beats, I march my feet.
Eyes are black, heart is stone, fight for family, God and Home.
Weapons vary between gun and pen, fighting beside my fellow men.
Death has no power over strong resolve, fight for right, and wrong dissolve.
Find comfort inside, find comfort alone, we may live, or never see home.
A flag, a belief, a decision made, sacrifice, is a lonely grave.
Fight for self, personal belief, fighting for less, brings no relief.
Live today, die tomorrow, life is pain, joy and sorrow.
Live for something or die with nothing, a life well spent, is a song to sing.
See the hate, feel the power, love must prevail, in this final hour.
Each to his own, fight for a different cause, some for love, other’s, applause.
Life is nothing unless everything is given, regardless of belief, in hell or in heaven.
Give it your everything, give it your all, or die with nothing, on your final call.
With a final charge, leave no reserve, and in death receive, your just deserve.
The dash between ones birth and death, marks a life once lived, upon final breath.
Empty yourself to receive in full, or keep it inside, and die a fool.
Death will come, take one take all, even the greatest on Earth will fall.
Live above hate, regret and power, for you’ll lose it all in your fatal hour.
Walk in the valley, stand on a mountain, live for others or personal gain.
The choice is there, to be made everyday, the day will come when it slips away.
As you lie in your coffin, life left your eyes, gone with the rest to your own demise.
Know that you lived a life, above the rest, or be forever a slave, once lain to rest.
Fight for life, love, fight for all, or live for self, and alone you’ll fall.
Your life is a gift, one wasted or lived, your heart was meant as a gift to give.
