I had to force myself to let you go
I had to watch you leave as my heart reached its highest low.
The tears I had to force myself to hold back.
The moment I watched you walk away is when my soul turned black.
I just wanted to reach out and grab you hold you so tight.
I wished you had the will to stay and not disappear out of sight.
Your last words were that it’s not really the end.
And that you will always remain for life my unforgettable special friend.
Yet i felt my heart beat race as we said our final words of good bye.
But I saw it in your eyes you and I both knew this was a complete lie.
A moment of pain that I will never forget.
A moment I will always regret.
But I had to let you go.
I had to let the feeling of my love not be allowed to grow.
I needed to test the waters and set you free.
So I will discover if you really did ever love me.
You are welcome back in my heart when ever you realise it was me you needed all along.
I’m here waiting for you if you ever realise you had a perfect love so powerful and strong .
