A Poem For You
To the love of my life
I wrote a poem
I always said I would never write a poem about a guy, that poetry is my secluded place and yet here I am
I wrote a poem
The thing is, you aren’t just any guy
Not just any guy can steal my breath and give it back all at once
Or make me the happiest I’ve ever been to be terrified to be in love
You’ve invaded my every thought and breathi
I got lost in your eyes the day I met you, they’re like a maze with no way out and I don’t think I’ll ever be found
I’ve never been more content lost and feeling helpless to my emotions
I’m prisoner to the chains you have on me, and yet I’ve never felt more free like flying without wings
Love has always seemed complicated to me but you’ve shown me it’s simple
Words don’t do justice showing the beauty you’ve created for just loving me for me but yeah, I wrote a poem and it’s the best I can do
So darling,
