You came into my life like a soft breeze
blowing on the beach.
You talked smoothly like the
top of a freshly polished piano.
You smiled at me and suddenly my life
wasn’t as messed up but organized like an office.
You grasped my heart and held it like a mama
bear protecting her cubs.
You laughed like the sound of
a dozen harps playing in harmony.
You walked like you were gliding
through mid-air.
You make me feel like the best person
in the world, like I finally belong.
You stared deeply into my eyes,
and for once,
time was infinite.
