Creation

J Ann Crowder

I was a seedling once, withstanding a precipitous of time, swallowed by dry watering tins, & enveloped by soil empty

A sun shone high basking in his glorious light beholden to my curious, yearning eyes

I could sit upon such a sacred horizon, melting within it’s warming cusp

Truth sung to me there, echoing in my ears, healing each fracture upon my  blushing, pumping heart

I could feel alive in these moments, if but for a time whilst each melody procured a new peice of me

Nature became my ever revered teacher of truth

She was a fire igniting my soul, or a drift of snow bringing wonder to my wandering mind’s ever searching eye

I could create a melody sprung within the astonishment of her belly, bringing strikes of lighting to still cold lakes sleeping inside night’s darkened grip, lifting protections of shadows bouncing off figures of tree beings hiding amidst it’s soft dusk

Tender these moments, whilst I sang to her rhythm, taking in her charms as they enlivened each dead part of me

Nourishment came eventually, and the seedling I once was grew into an adorning, blossoming tree ever so delicate, light, & breezy

Thus becoming one with all creations, born to grow, living to thrive, & adorning gifts of giving

By & by pouring buckets of light into empty pockets, expanding beauty as all creation was meant to do
