Our Minds Reborn

J A Crowder

You, my friend, my lazy elm
Dipping into your depths of despair
Hanging down
Slumped, pleading for hands of glory
Omnipotent hands
Kingly hands
You reach up to heaven
You embrace transformation, gazing upon beauty
Beauty in dreams & summer longings laying beneath dark, hollow winter tides
Change is inevitable yet far in your strainings for clarity
Upon wings of spring tide, I too yearn for my soul’s changing
God, rescue me!
Fly me to usherings of joyous spring tides & new beginnings
I long to grow in fresh soils born admidst mine own longings for joy!
Deep joy
Like sultry tides renewing with each sweeping in of wisdom from deep waters far beneath the surface
I search, & each giving morsel I take
I become
I germinate
I lay wait within a birthing cocoon
I revive with wings & courage to take flight into skies never yet breached by my soul’s ever arching plight
Setting asunder my pain
Pulling weeds of despair & replacing them with the beautiful seeds of my king’s glory
Thus, our minds are now reborn
Thus, our souls are now rediscovered
