Reborn

By J Ann Crowder

Can you see me?
Naked, my soul
Thrust into fire clouds clamoring with thunder bells tolling a beating, hot breath
Warming this heart, a naked heart, singing soul fire songs of ruby
She, a hapless beat, yearns to dance amidst the smoke
Upon hot coals I plant these bare feet
Thus this world tortures me
Yet he keeps his promises as he sheds my skin like newness, relinquishing the tarnishes of his prison
Such is stardust born of tumultuous fire
Like storm clouds birthing a new poem, an iridescent light, as the song bird sings her sweetest sublimities to morning moons hanging onto dusk like a prince’s awakening kiss
Where dews glisten beneath a new welcoming sun
Where flowers blossom
Where precious stones were forged within the power of Earth’s heat
Soul fire combusts, ignites, transforms in the belly of her nakedness
Rawness felt, wonderment met, whilst neutralizing pain & rebirthing her into magic dust
Tasseled like gold mines, thus becoming treasure laid by scorching horizons burning hearts to diamonds of hidden glory
By & by, we yield a wonder!
But first we burn, we break, bare & sculpted, raw & awakened
Alas reborn!
