Snow Forest

By J Ann Crowder

Sweetest, beryl briars and boreal seascapes deepen like blue veins

An intertwining weald and tangled apple-wood touches my mortal flesh, as sea-moons kiss my eyes

Moons shine a teal fire, like a shimmering peacock’s feathers

Opaque winds leap off chilled, snow-blanketed pines

A sylvanwood, dark and obscure, winks a menacing eye

Luxuriant woodwind instruments chime nature’s eminent glow

An eternal solstitial brumal echoes summer-like flutes on wintry tides

A labyrinth of protection ensues

A poetic muse reaches yonder sky of sea-heaven, softly lighted by cosmos above

By and by, these sleepy nights and snowy, garden forests ever enchant my dreams

Written December 10th, 2016. About winter forests. Whimsical style.
