I don't hate you

I don’t hate you.

I hate your ways, and how heartless you’ve turned out to be.

I hate the words you’ve used and the games you’ve played with me.

I hate how I can’t see anyone else, just your face inside my mind.

I hate how torturous this is for me, I relive it all the time.

I hate your power; it’s stronger than you may know.

I hate how this might never end, but I’m expected to let it go.

I hate how people don’t look the same to me anymore;

Trust is now an issue, it should have been before.

I hate how you walk with your head held high.

It doesn’t matter if I’m breathing, inside, I’m not alive.

I hate how words make no sense, I’ve lost my ability to rhyme.

A lost soul with a pen and paper, all because of a crime.

I hate your smile, your eyes, your hands, your laugh.

I hate how I never knew.

..but I don’t hate you.
