Seems like forever
It’s been what seems like forever,
and your face is all I can see.
It devours all of the space in my mind,
consumes my entire memory.
Was it the words that you whispered?
Or your eyes in the darkness?
The way they would glisten?
I always said they were beautiful.
Was it the chemistry we had in such a short time?
Or did I feel that way myself?
Do you think of me like I think of you?
Should I morph into someone else?
I’ll be anything you want.
